Darby Morris recently received her PhD from the University of Michigan in Architecture. The title of her dissertation was “An Ethnography of Three Michigan Architecture Firms: The Effect of Organizational Culture on Workplace Client Engagement.”
In this, Darby showed the ways in which organizational culture is manifested in assumptions, motivations, employee roles at three architecture firms. These cultural factors impact the ways in which firms engage with their clients through both a technical and psychological processes, the later of which is enabled by both inter and intra-organizational positive connections.
