I am studying relational leadership through the lens of positive organizational scholarship. I am particularly interested in learning how positive workplace relationships encourage and generate emergent leadership within knowledge-based organizations. I am currently conducting original research to determine how positive workplace relationships develop, mature, and change over time. I have interviewed pairs of coworkers who self-ascribe as having a positive working relationship with each other. In my research, I am also exploring whether and how organizational managers support and encourage high-quality workplace relationships. As a scholar-practitioner working in the biopharmaceutical industry in the area of human clinical research, I have the opportunity to share and apply what I know about POS with others.
