Related Research Interests

My research identity span three main areas: (1) relationship emergence, (2) relationship maintenance, and (3) boundary spanning across the work-nonwork domains. My guiding research questions are below.

How do individual behaviors, psychological states and social structures affect the emergence of workplace relationships at the dyadic, team, and organizational levels?

What relational processes and emergent states are vital for workplace relationships to continue being productive and healthy?

How do relationships cross the boundary between work and life (i.e. relationships that exist in multiple domains like friendships)? How do the effects of relationships (i.e., emotions, behaviors, stressors, and cognitions) cross from one domain to another?
