Tago Mharapara is a Pūkenga Matua (Senior Lecturer) in the Department of Management at Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland University of Technology), within Mātauranga Aronui (Business School – Management). His research expertise lies in healthcare research management, developed through an active and impactful research agenda.
Tago is the Principal Investigator of two externally funded, interdisciplinary research projects (totaling NZD 1.3 million) that explore work design, well-being, and socialization within the fields of midwifery and paramedicine in Aotearoa New Zealand. He also leads a cross-national collaboration investigating meaningful and meaningless work among primary care doctors in New Zealand, the United States, Germany, and Sweden.
