I’m interested in studying how our relationship with others affect our self-regulatory capacities, and how our self-regulatory capacities influence our relationship with others. In particular, my current research explore the following questions: how does the quality of our everyday interaction with others affect our regulatory abilities, and in turn, affect outcomes such as work engagement and productivity? How does our state level self-control affect our perception of interdependence with others? And finally, how do people use others’ self-regulatory capacities as cues to make judgments and evaluations about them in the workplace?
