Related Research Interests

My research explores how relationships contribute to personal growth. Specifically, I am interested in how leader care – the interplay of stretching and supporting employees – promotes employee growth on the one hand, but is associated with negative downstream consequences for leaders (i.e., stress) on the other hand. I also study work spouses, and how these marriage-like relationships at work can lead to costs and benefits for those inside & outside the dyad.
