Related Research Interests

I have come into the study of positive relationships through the study of leadership. My dissertation revealed that the best explanation (i.e., mediating mechanism) for the relationship between leadership behaviors and follower performance was the strength of the relationship between leaders and followers. Thus, I have become largely interested in the quality of relationships between leaders and followers. Much of my ongoing work revolves around the importance of leader-follower relationships, how leaders can best improve their relationships with their followers, and how to best measure leader-follower relationships.
