Related Research Interests

My research explores the micro-foundations of firm strategy. I am currently pursuing two broad streams of research. The first focuses on how executive personalities and values influence the types of interrelationships they develop with middle and lower level managers and the organization climate and culture they foster and how these relational and cultural aspects shape strategic behaviors and outcomes. I am interested in the strategic implications of positive traits such as optimism at the individual CEO-level as well as at the top management team composition level. The second area of research focuses on the different forms of contradictions embedded in multiplex developmental networks of entrepreneurs and how entrepreneurs cope with these contradictions. This is a more recent and new area that I am exploring.
